Your role

We are now looking for another engaged and certified teacher in Swedish as a second language who wants to help develop new forms of student support with a focus on language development within the subject at Komvux Södermalm. You will work together with a colleague towards school units within SFI, basic courses, vocational training, and upper secondary courses. You will have a joint assignment where you work closely together with a focus on quality, development, and student support for our broad target group. The work involves close collaboration with teachers, principals, special educators, special teachers, and other professionals to ensure that students receive the support they need.

Examples of tasks and responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teachers in SFI and Swedish as a second language regarding students
• Teach in groups
• Provide targeted interventions to students, both individually and in groups, physically and via remote
• Teach together with teachers in SFI and Swedish as a second language
• Contribute to increased knowledge among colleagues about teaching in areas such as pronunciation
• Develop new forms of teaching based on identified needs such as study groups, webinars, or digital recordings with a focus on flexible forms and working methods
• Conduct study groups, physically or digitally
• Document and follow up on students' development
• Collaborate with, among others, teachers, special educators, special teachers, and study and career counselors
• Contribute to the development of structures and processes for support and adaptations throughout the school
• Evaluate and analyze support initiatives and developed concepts

The work may involve travel and work at all self-managed units.

Your competence and experience

Requirements:

• Teaching degree with certification in Swedish as a second language, at least 90 credits
• Very good digital competence
• Experience in navigating and driving development in complex organizations
• Ability and experience to independently drive projects and processes and engage and coordinate teaching colleagues and others in that work
• Experience in leading pedagogical development
• Experience in leading and engaging colleagues in learning
• Broad experience in adult education and various target groups
• Experience in systematically documenting, following up, and evaluating initiatives

Desirable:

• Experience from Komvux and/or SFI is highly desirable
• Didactic and intercultural competence
• Ability to create authentic learning situations
• Reflective and development-oriented teaching style

Personal qualities:

As a person, you are goal- and result-oriented and structured. You are flexible, creative, development-oriented, and have very good collaboration skills. You are a clear pedagogical leader, engaged in adult learning, and have a clear salutogenic perspective.
